We are all called by Jesus to live out the gospel in our lives.  Although we agree with this completely, the practical application in our lives can often seem confusing, intimidating or incomplete.  We have therefore encapsulated our gospel calling into 7 critically important areas of focus.  We believe that we must focus on these areas with our hearts, time, resources and energy giving our undaunted best to God’s vision for our lives.  These 7 areas can be broken up into: worship, bible study, prayer, Godly relationships, evangelism, serving the poor, and ultimately reliance on God.

Worship

Our Worship involves drawing near to God both personally and collectively through praise and thanksgiving, singing and music, meditation, and financial giving.

 (1 Chronicles 16:7-29, Psalm 95:1-7, Psalm 34:1-3, Psalm 29:1-2, Ephesians 5:19-20, Psalm 19:14, Psalm 104:33-34, 2 Corinthians 9:6-13)

Bible Study

Our Bible Study involves listening to and understanding God through individual bible study, small group study, teaching class sessions, and biblically-related books.

 (Psalm 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2:15; Ephesians 6:17; Nehemiah 8:8-12; Acts 19:9-10)

Prayer

Our Prayer involves speaking with God and is to be done consistently and biblically.  Prayer is to be done congregationally, in small groups and individually.  Fasting is done in conjunction with our prayers also at times.

 (Colossians 4:2; Acts 2:42, Acts 4:23-31; Matthew 26:39-44, Matthew 9:14-15; Acts 13:2-3)

Godly Relationships

Our call is to build relationships that bring glory to God, are Christ-driven and biblically founded.  God calls us to this in our marriages, our parenting, and relationships with others through consistent one-on-one and various group based times to help with our Christian need for encouragement, love, confession, teaching, prayer, relationships, maturing, correction, forgiving, and sharing of our lives.

(Ephesians 5:22-33; Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Ephesians 6:1-4; Hebrews 3:12-13; 1 John 4:7-11; James 5:16; Matthew 28:20; Ephesians 6:18-19; Ephesians 6:21-22; Ephesians 4:14-16; Galatians 2:11-14; Proverbs 27:17; Ephesians 4:32; Hebrews 13:16; 1 Thessalonians 2:8)

Evangelism

Our call is to invite others to join us in worship and understanding of God and his plan for their lives in a biblically-directed way through guided bible studies ultimately helping them to make Jesus lord of their lives through authentic biblical conversion.

 (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 8:4, Colossians 1:6, 2 Corinthians 5:18-21)

Serving the Poor

Our call is to help the poor and less fortunate through consistent service in our communities and around the world as we are able.

 (Galatians 2:10, Acts 10:4, Luke 10:25-37)

Reliance on God

In everything we do we must humbly and passionately rely on God for relationship, strengthening, encouragement, correction, assistance, and grace as we strive to carry out his gospel plan.

 (2 Chronicles 7:14, Colossians 1:9-12, 2 Chronicles 16:9, Isaiah 40:28-31, Romans 15:5-6, Psalm 135:3-14, Psalm 31:1-3, Hebrews 4:15-16, Psalm 25:4)
